The Role

We’re searching for a highly motivated Account Manager to contribute to Scott Coating’s growth and help further our diversity of products we deliver to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience innovating new products, developing go to market plans, and have existing relationships with building owners and portfolios. The candidate will drive new direct to owner business relationships that provide annuity-based income or the ability to guide customers planning processes around paint and coating maintenance.

 

Responsibilities

In the Account Manager Role, the employee will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of service and annuity-based product delivery.
  • Develop and maintain customer-based relationships that provide long-term value.
  • Perform cost estimates and foster efficient hand-off to project management and field teams.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Conduct needs assessment of clients – identify pain points, understand client needs/goals and progress, any other business problems looming that we can assist with.
  • Develop project road maps with key customer base.
  • Be a customer advocate/liaison.
  • Establish post project cadences with stakeholders to ensure enduring relationships. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Engineering or related field
  • Proven record of account management and sales success.
  • Ability to drive strategy with large building owners in the private and public sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Paint and industrial coatings experience.
  • Experience developing internal process development and tools.
  • Experience coaching and educating project team to strengthen capabilities and skill sets.
